“… since last year”

Did you catch my drift on the title, yet? No? Right, I’ll explain.

It’s 2012 and lately people been joking about “… since last year”, for example:

“You know I have been dating her since last year!” while in fact he dated her since December 31st, 2011.

It’s kind of funny to me but the funniest came from a man who lives far far far away from here. He called yesterday only to say, “In Gera since December 28th, haven’t been sober since day one. That means I haven’t been sober since last year, isn’t it?”

At the same time, it’s funny and ironic cause you know (well you obviously don’t know) he said he was going to Gera to visit his brother and grandma so he wouldn’t get wasted on new year in Zurich.

Congratulation to him though, almost three years of sobriety down the drain. Oh God he’s so pathetic I really want to slap that thick head of him and flush it down the toilet. *nose flaring*
