MUSIC ROARS THE NIGHT #17
Evening, fellow humans!
I know I’m lacking at updating MRTN but well as you can see, I’m currently trying to survive my senior year unscathed and it’s really hard to do so without staying away from the internet. Stop with the curhat, let’s get to the point.
Right now I’m so in the mood for some jazz and my favorite person in it is Jamie Cullum. Taken from his third album Twentysomething (2003), here’s Everlasting Love for your hearing pleasure.
From what I know, the song was recorded back in the 1967-ish by Robert Knight. The song itself has been remixed many times by many artists and so far, my favorite is Jamie Cullum’s version. I heard it in my car yesterday on my way back and damn, when traffic attacks, jazz helps.
Hang You Up by Yellowcard, taken from their latest album, When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes (2011)
In my opinion, this music video is super funny. Ryan is so comical and the blonde, “I swear to God if you open your mouth and start singing pre-chorus, I’m gonna—” that’s just so so so hilarious!
Well done, Yellowcard!

MUSIC ROARS THE NIGHT #16
To my friends in New York, I say hello. My friends in L.A. they don’t know, where I’ve been for the past few years or so, Paris to China to Colorado
I know, I know, this supposed to be posted at night and weekly yet I abandoned it after 8 months. Oh let’s just get it on.
Tonight’s music (it’s night somewhere so shut up) is not something new, as always. OneRepublic has been my favorite band since they released their debut album Dreaming Out Loud in 2007. This particular song that I posted is coming from their second album, Waking Up (2009).
In my opinion, they always managed to wrote real great songs. Even though I’m not that fond of music with their genre, I’m head over heels for their songs. “Apathy”, “Prodigal”, and of course, “Good Life” are my most favorite from their two albums and rumor has it, they are currently working on the third album while touring. It’s gonna be grand!
P.S. anything for the next session?
Soundwave 2011
Now, Sondwave, held not so far away from my country. It’s in Australia which only a few thousand miles.
Focus on the line-up. It’s not as much or as big as The Bamboozle but the performers…man I would kill just to see Mayday Parade, The Maine, Every Avenue, and The Starting Line on the same event!
